Flowers, Flowers, Flowers

by admin on June 26, 2009

I love colorful flowers. However our yard is a fabulous clay mixture that allows nothing to grow… And if it’s not clay, it’s brick that the people before us used to fill the yard. So as we’ve been here for two years, we’ve been working on some major revamping. Having hubby work at a company that grows and distributes flowers really helps ;-)

Last year we lined the front with hibiscus. This year we only did one side, 2 red, one pink (though I’m not sure the pink is going to bloom…).

Then on the left side (and up the side of the house) we’re putting in some perennials so that I wont have to bother with that half of the house anymore ;-) It’ll happen on it’s own every year.

We got a TON of bulbs, so we’re just now planting them, they’re due for late summer blooms…
We have Little Princess, Blue Sapphire (which also comes up as big blue if you search..) and Ember Ballerina.

Here’s some pics of what they WILL be :)
